The need for independents in Parliament July 30, 2007

The farce that is the Dr Haneef terrorism case shows just why you should vote independent at the 2007 federal election. The Howard coalition government is playing politics with a man’s life — a man who is looking increasingly innocent. And where is the Labor opposition when its voice is most needed? Locked in step behind John Howard.

Like never before there is a need for independent and honorable voices in the Australian parliament and that is why you should vote ‘1′ for Lachlan Connor in the Senate later this year.

Last Friday I was interviewed by Dan Hamilton of The Wire who is compiling a series of reports on independent candidates at this year’s federal election. He tells me that the interview will air this Thursday and that it will also be available online. I’ll provide a link here when it is posted on the website.

Greetings Victorians and supporters,

You may have noticed that I’m not the best at keeping this blog updated with words so I’ve decided (in response to John Howard’s YouTube policy announcement) to supplement the GrodsCorp campaign with my own personal video broadcasts. Feel free to leave questions in the comments that you’d like me to address in future broadcasts.

Cheers,
Lachlan Connor
